Water Fun!!!

We went on a little family vacation to Indiana and visited with Keith’s family and went to Splash Safari/Holiday World in Santa Clause, IN.

Kaila is just a little dare devil, She went on all the big water slides (even 2 that I wouldn’t) and had a ball!!

Her biggest fear was the slides that were inclosed tubes because it was dark inside. She didn’t care much for the dark but loved the speed and drops of the slides.  She also liked the wave pools and lazy rivers where she praticed a little of her swimming from taking swimming lessons.

The Bakuli!

Keith and Kaila rode this ride. (I’m a big chicken hahaha and not afraid to say so) This ride is a big drop into a big bowl that you go around in and get flushed out that hole in the middle.

The Zinga!

The big funnel behind Kaila is the Zinga I didn’t really want to go on it but Keith and Kaila made me. lol

The Jungle Racer!

Kaila and Keith raced down this twice. Kaila is in the lane on the right edge.

And of course you can’t go to Santa Clause, Indiana and not tell Santa what you want for Christmas! I think Kaila told Santa twice her list. She made sure he knew! lol

It was a great weekend.

Kaila really liked the stay at Uncle Mark and Aunt Judy’s where she had to make many, many trips between the chickens, cows and fish in the pond. She had to tell them all goodnight and good morning. Though she thought the cows were awful stinky lol.

But I think of all the animals her favorites were the two dogs.

Happy 4th!!!

Happy 4th of July everybody!!

Hope you all had a safe and fun holiday! We just sat back and cooled out in the backyard till time for the fireworks.

Kaila played all day in the pool.  We could hardly get her out of it.

I had bought this family size pool a few years ago real cheap on clearance and just never could figure out where to set it up. So yesterday I got the idea to put some old plywood we had laying around down and covered it with a big plastic sheet and put the pool on it. I had bought a pool cover for it the next year after buying the pool, so now it can stay set up for the Summer.

Kaila has played in it most of the day today. I think she’s part fish hahaha. We did get her out long enough to run Grandma Opal some clean clothes and another lapghan I finished for another resident there.

This is the lapghan. I made up all the squares during the June Square along at Crochetville and finally got them all put together so my MIL could give it to a resident in the nursing home where she lives. It’s a pretty plain one but will serve it’s purpose.

After our visit we got a snack lunch and finished getting the food for our cook-out and came back home where Kaila hurriedly got right back in the pool. We let her swim/splash around till dinner then after eating went to brave the downtown traffic to see the fireworks.

This year we went where I used to always go to see the fireworks and it was way less hassle than last year. We actually made it to our car and home in about 25 mins. Last year it took well over an hour just to get out of the parking spot in the parking lot we parked in.

It was a beautiful show as usual but this year was even bigger since it was also Nashville’s big birthday too.
